Job Details
The registered nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect patient care of the patient in all three areas (L&D, Mother/Baby, and Nursery). He/she is committed to meeting the comprehensive needs of the patients/families through giving direct care and supervising team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills. Computer skills (preferred) and Electronic Fetal Monitor skills. Basic for mother/baby; advanced for L&D. Strong IV skills preferred in L&D and Nursery.
Required Length and Type of Experience:
One year related nursing experience required for part-time positions. Level II or Level III experience preferred. Diploma or Associate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
Required Licensure, Certification or Registry:
BCLS certification; neonatal resuscitation certification, stable certification in all areas. Diploma or Associate Degree, BSN preferred, currently licensed in State of Ohio, IBCLC certification, if lactation consultant.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands:
Requires full range of body motion including handling/lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking of extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Able to safely transport patients on stretcher to respective unit. Transfers patients from stretcher to bed using good body mechanics.
