Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB has initiated a search for an Endoscopy/PICC RN.

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an endoscopy or other invasive procedure. The nurse can expect to care for adult patients, including geriatric age.

Basis Qualifications/Requirements:
• Current RN license by the State of Texas
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• 2 years GI/Endoscopy experience with moderate sedation for procedure and or PICC experience
• Leadership qualities
• Service Excellence skills
• ACLS and BCLS

Minimum Requirements/Skills:
• Exceptional critical thinking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be highly motivated
• Work well with a team and have the ability to function in a fast paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ICU, ED, or Operating Room experience very helpful
PICC placement for moderate sedation

Hours/Schedule:
Monday – Friday 6:00 4:30
Call schedule rotation for closed department hours

Department Overview:
The Endoscopy & Special Procedures Department is an open M-F 0600-1630. Closed weekends & Holidays, require on call for all closed hours. We serve an adult population for outpatients & inpatients requiring an Endoscopy GI & Pulmonary (including diagnostic & therapeutic procedures), ESWL, Pain Management procedure, TEE, PICC placement, & various other procedures needing sedation or assisting the physician. We are a team oriented unit focused on quality & customer satisfaction.
