Job Description:
 

A Per Diem/Agency Nurse is a Registered Nurse who is engaged to work as needed for patient care delivery.

Job Qualifications:
 

a. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York with current registration. Must present original of this registration prior to completion of the per diem orientation.
b. Demonstration of current BCLS course completion. Additionally, the nurse must complete ACLS/PALS if working in the ED or ACLS if working in the CCU.
c. Completion of the two or four day per diem/agency orientation program offered by Nursing Education.
d. Possesses the required competence to perform in the area of assignment within the guidelines of the position description.
e.Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing. Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing with current matriculation in a BSN program with graduation date within one year of hire will be considered.
f.Evidence of ability to maintain interpersonal relationships, communicate appropriately to others, work effectively to solve problems and confronts issues appropriately.
g.Demonstrates a strong commitment to furthering institutional goals through interdisciplinary teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to think creatively.
