OverView:
Banner Good Sam is a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position serves as core staff for the Trauma ICU. Incumbents will use specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills based upon the principles of biological,physical and social sciences to facilitate patient's achievement of optimum health status. Provides leadership and coordination to the healthcare team and will maintain standards of professional skills.

Responsibilities:
The Trauma ICU is the designated unit for the critically injured patient. The Trauma ICU RN is part of the Trauma Team. A Trauma ICU RN responds to the Trauma Room for all Trauma calls. The focus is on providing quality nursing care through a multidisciplinary approach. Emphasis is placed on strong assessment skills to meet the ever changing status of the Trauma patient. Team work is a high priority and fosters both leadership and coordination of health care providers.

Qualifications:
Requires current AZ RN license and a minimum of one year recent clinical nursing experience. Must have highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrate behaviors consistent with those indentified as Banner Health service standards.
